The Department of Medicine Celebrates its Voluntary Physicians at Griffis Faculty Club

On December 2, 2013, the DoM hosted a party at the Griffis Faculty Club to celebrate the department’s voluntary physicians. Dr. Augustine M.K. Choi, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, welcomed the guests and gave remarks in which he thanked the voluntary staff for their invaluable efforts in support of all of the department’s missions, including the active role they play in the training and mentoring of a next generation of physician-scientists. Voluntary physicians from all divisions and specialties were honored for their dedication and expertise at a celebratory party. Covering a wide breadth of specialties, they joined in the festivities where they had a chance to catch up with their fellow voluntary physicians which include several previous Chief Residents who had trained in the department. Dr. Laurie H. Gilmcher, Dean of the Weill Cornell Medical College, was also in attendance, as well as other members of the WCMC community.
