Dr. Basson Appointed Gladys and Roland Harriman Professor of Medicine
The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Craig T. Basson, MD, of the Division of Cardiology, has been appointed as the Gladys and Roland Harriman Professor of Medicine, effective November 1, 2008. His selection for this endowed professorship is in recognition of his leadership and international reputation as a physician-scientist in the field of human cardiovascular genetics disease, as well as his outstanding educational contributions to Weill Cornell Medical College. This honor was conferred to Dr. Basson by the Executive Committee of the Board of Overseers of Weill Cornell Medical College and the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
