XLVII European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplantation Association Congress

The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, Department of Medicine and the Department of Transplantation Medicine and Extracorporeal Therapy were represented at the XLVII ERA-EDTA Congress. The congress was attended by Dr. Cheguevara Afaneh, a surgery resident performing research in the laboratory of Dr. Manikkam Suthanthiran. In recognition of his work entitled "OX40/OX40L Costimulation Potentiates Acute Cellular Rejection in Human Renal Allografts", he received the Best Abstract by a Young Investigator Award, as well as a travel grant to attend the conference.
