Dr. Manikkam Suthanthiran, Division Chief, was an invited speaker for the Diabetes Management Symposium organized by the Hamad Medical Corporation and the Open Medical Institute in Doha, Qatar. His presentation entitled "Islet Cell Transplantation: Promises Kept, Hopes To be Met" was received well by the scientific community. Other faculty members presenting were Dr. Bernhard Ludvik, Deputy Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, General Hospital of Vienna and Dr. Antonio M. Gotto, Co-Chair, Board of Overseers, Vice President, Cornell University.
